Loving life is more powerful than you know…
“I am pretty sure that our souls are made of light, electricity and magnetism.”
― Sino Melo, Head of Programming at Hanson Robotics Limited
“True wisdom is acquired by the person who sees patterns, and comes to understand those patterns in their connection to other patterns – and from these interconnected patterns, learns the code of life – and from the learning of the code of life, becomes a co-creator with God.”
― Hendrith Vanlon Smith Jr., The Wealth Reference Guide: An American Classic
Magnetism is essential. From little on, attracting good friends, family, opportunities, and fortune into our lives makes them exciting, magical and provides us with the ability to innovate and create what is most meaningful. As a business owner, magnetism is what attracts amazing and loyal customers and amazing and loyal employees who serve them so that together, you easily, consistently fulfill your organization’s objectives.
US Senate candidate James Talarico recently commented that to magnetize others to your cause, you need to do two things: First, be yourself. Second, tell the truth. These are not so easy and yet I know them to be so true.
Be Yourself
From our birth on, most of us have been conditioned to comply and conform. To do otherwise often led to punishment. And yet, here’s an example of how being yourself can make a difference: A business partner recently called to discuss a sales idea. He is fiercely passionate about clean energy and climate protection and wanted my permission to promote this passion for initiatives for these in his state, through my company.
He started out by saying, “I want businesses to know about LifeWork Systems’ purpose to create a world in which all people love their lives AND I want to go to them to discuss what’s going on politically and economically around wind and solar projects and how these projects, when enacted, can save them money. At first, I was confused about his messaging and how these two things could be connected in sales conversations.
As we were speaking, I remembered “First be yourself” and I recalled the pattern for magnetism. I said to him, “Oh, here’s how you can attract people to your idea. First, share with them that you are primarily passionate about two things: participating in creating a world in which all people love their lives, AND that you specifically want to help them experience this through lower utility costs, while protecting the climate.
I know that his sincerity and alignment with who he is would be felt and resonate deeply. He could then share the truth about possibilities around new energy initiatives and economic savings as valuable. In this way, he is being himself and drawing on the wisdom and patterns for co-creation. His sincerity about supporting people in practical ways, while protecting the climate will magnetize like-minded people to his cause.
Tell the Truth
To take my story a bit further, my business partner wants people to know the truth about special interest groups who are not necessarily concerned about who and what they harm. Telling the truth is an act of courage, especially when it is done in a way that exposes greed or harmful actions being done in secrecy. This is not the only way telling the truth is courageous. Whenever we are being truthful, we risk rejection and scorn.
For years, I have said a daily prayer I think would help every person to be themselves and tell the truth whether they are a praying person or not. It is “Please release me from the need for love, approval and acceptance from others.” Only then are we magnetizing others because we stop being transactional and we become internally authentically powerful in loving, approving and accepting of ourselves and telling the truth in service to good.
I know my articles may sometimes seem not-so-business-oriented. This is me being myself. I recognize the “patterns in their connection to other patterns – and from these interconnected patterns, the code of life…” Patterns, codes, and systems. These are why I renamed Expanding Human Potential to LifeWork Systems. I tell you this truth: We are all connected. To create a world and a business you love requires taking a plunge into your own amazing magnetism! Let me know if LifeWork Systems can support you in this. We love doing that!
